Onward To Olympas

"PRS Guitars are at the top of the list for a lot guitarists, including myself, for being the pinnacle of guitar desirability. Made to the best possible quality standards, these instruments stand alone as a work of art. Then, once you PLAY one, you never want to put it down. When I saw the PRS SE Torero for the first time, it seemed like this guitar had been tailored to my needs, and was custom built with all the options that I would have chosen for a guitar. Floyd Rose, EMG's, neck-thru construction, 24 frets and an awesome flamed maple top on a Mahogany body come together in a brutal package that is perfect for our band's musical style. Tuned to Drop B, these things have a fury that is unparalleled by any other guitar that I have played. And the neck is super fast, and it felt and played perfectly from the moment it hit my hands. Thanks for a great instument PRS. It is an honor to be able to work with the greatest guitar company on the planet."

Coming up among such North Carolina bands as Between the Buried and Me, Beloved, and He Is Legend gave the members of Onward To Olympas an appreciation for an array of genres. Since their formation in 2008, OTO has meticulously cultivated their sound, blending progressive metal, straight hardcore, and elements of death metal. That the band can indulge all their musical proclivities, yet produce such consistent results, while making it seem easy is a testament to their craftsmanship.

Onward To Olympas is signed to Facedown Records, and their debut album "This World Is Not My Home" is available in stores and online. They have been rigorously touring this year, including multiple full-US tours, as well as playing many festivals, sharing the stage with bands such as August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, War Of Ages, and others. They are currently working on their second Facedown Records release, set to come out sometime in early 2011.
