Billy Hume on the Mira X:

"I was a little hesitant when I first saw the Mira X because it didn't have a carved top. But the instant I started to play it I was really surprised by how comfortable it was. It just feels good to play. It is also very light, which I like a lot and holds it's tune well. Another surprise for me was the neck. It's a little thicker than I usually like, but somehow the guys at PRS seem to know what I need more than I do. This guitar is so easy to play it seems to play itself."

"Now I'm a 'turn it to 11' kind of guy when it comes to guitar and almost always use the bridge pickup on every electric I use. But on a couple of songs I was cutting last week I needed a thicker sound. Once again the Mira X came through. The neck pickup was thick yet clear. I've never had such an easy time getting the neck pickup to sound right. I just switched the pickup selector and there I was! Having had the guitar long enough to go through a couple of song cycles from inception to master I've noticed that the tracks for this guitar were easier to mix than the other guitars I used on each song. The tone just stands out. I love the simplicity of the volume and tone knobs - one each for the whole guitar."

"I've had a blast playing this guitar. It's become the first guitar I reach for on every session."

Billy Hume has been recording, mixing and producing Gold and Platinum albums for the last 12 years, primarily in the Atlanta Hip Hop scene. The sound that we all now know as Crunk was birthed out of his studio, The Zone, during early work on Lil Jon's first few albums as well as many of the artists Lil Jon was producing in the late 90's and early 2000's. During that time Hume was also working with then unknowns such as David Banner, Bone Crusher, Young Bloodz and Young Jeezy before they had hits and after. He recorded and mixed most of the Ying Yang Twins singles as well as doing some production. He also co-wrote, mixed and played guitar on one of Hip Hop’s biggest songs of all time - Party Like A Rockstar. Almost every southern rap drum sound, 808 boom, bass sound you've heard on the radio in the last 10 years has come through his studio in some form.

Billy Hume has either mixed, produced or played guitar and bass for:
Al Kapone, BG, Blak Jak, Bohagon, Bonecrusher, Chyna White, David Banner, Field Mob, Fiend, Hitman Sammysam, Hoodratz, Kizzy Rock, Lemar, Lil Fate, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boys, Ludacris, Lyrical Giantz, Magic, Montana da Mack, Mr. Collipark, Nappy Roots, Nas, Nelly, Polow Da Don, Rehab, Rich Boy, Rich Boy, Shop Boyz, Will Smith, Ying Yang Twins, Young Bloodz, Young Jeezy, V.I.C.
