“I was immediately blown away by the diversity of the guitar, the great distinctive sound of the dragon pick-ups, and the fat and sweet leading sounds you could create! I am a genuine PRS lover, and there's nothing to compare with as far as I know (and I've played some guitars in my life).”
Quantum Fantay has recorded three studio albums so far (Agapanthusterra in 2005, Ugisiunsi in 2007 and Kaleidothrope 2009) and a double live album at the Burg Herzberg Festival in Germany in 2008. We are playing some kind of Fusion, a mix between spacerock, progressive music, world music and even trance and dance music influences, all instrumental, so no vocals, which is a great thing to do. As Joe told you in a previous mail, we are doing quite well, although we are not that "BIG" in cd sales, but we do have a lot of musicians loving what we do, and I think that's even more important then selling a couple of thousand extra cds! On our latest European tour, I actually had a lot of questions from guitarplayers about my PRS! Also, the NEARfest festival (which is sold out by the way) has every year a great attendence of musicians, a perfect opportunity!
About me, since 2002 I was a Brian Moore Custom guitar player, but since the demise of the factory in 2007 (although they are restarting at the moment with Corean models, not even the real US stuff anymore, a shame)I quit on promoting Brian Moore guitars. I switched to my PRS and have played it ever since.
Dario plays a Custom 22 and SC 245.
