Tower of Power

"I've been a huge fan of Paul Reed Smith guitars for many years. When I was contacted to audition for Tower Of Power I showed my wife a photo of a McCarty Korina model. I said to her, "If there is any guitar that would be perfect for Tower Of Power it would be that guitar." I told her that if I didn't pass the audition I would take the guitar back to the store for a refund. I passed the audition and lucky me got to keep the guitar. The McCarty Korina's versatility exceeded my expectations. For funk and R&B rhythm parts, the McCarty humbucking split single coil sounds are the most believable I've ever heard and are the most enjoyable to play. With a flick of the tone pot and added gain I'm able to go into rich, smooth overdriven sounds with the most definition I've heard from a humbucking pickup. As the proud owner of a couple of PRS hollowbodies and several solidbodies I can wholeheartedly say that every time I pick one up to play it I can hardly put it down."
