PRS Guitars On American Idol

Season 8 of Fox’s American Idol has come to an end but we wanted to take a moment to reflect on a few PRS season highlights.

In addition to endorsers, Paul Jackson, Jr. and Dave Dehlomme supporting us on the show with the Ricky Minor band, we had several contestants use our guitars.

To name a few, 16 year old, Allison Iraheta performed “Don’t Speak” using a black cherry Hollowbody II and Kris Allen (2009 winner) performed an acoustic version of Kanye West's "Heartless on a PRS Angelus Cutaway just prior to the season finale.

The two-night season finale aired live on May 19th and 20th and while most of the attention was on the two finalists, Carlos Santana made a guest appearance and his Salmon Santana II shined in the spotlight as he performed Black Magic Woman and Smooth.
