What happens when an adventurous rocky mountain fiddler is combined with a rocking Texas picker? Nothing less than the innovative and never heard before sound of The JaneDear Girls. With diverse musical influences including Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, The Beatles, Shania Twain, The Judds, and Rascal Flatts, the new dynamic duo, Susie Brown and Danelle Leverett, bring a fresh, high energy sound to country music. Susie, originally from Alpine, Utah began playing fiddle at age four, and won the Utah State fiddle contest in her age group when she was only 10 years old. After making the move to Nashville, she spent part of 2005 and most of 2006 on the road as a backup singer and instrumentalist with some of country music's top artists, including Trisha Yearwood. In her spare time, she devoted every moment to The JaneDear Girls; honing her skills as a songwriter and instrumentalist. While Susie was raised in the music scene, it wasn’t until high school when Amarillo native, Danelle Leverett, started playing guitar and writing songs. Not long after high school, Danelle won her first songwriting competition in the Amarillo area battle of the bands “Got Milk Competition.” While attending college at ACU, she was signed to a independent record label and recorded a four song EP in Los Angeles, Calif. After graduating, Danelle moved to Nashville to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer/songwriter. Six months after Danelle moved to Nashville, Kris Bergsnes, a mutual friend, invited Danelle out to a downtown Nashville venue "The Suttler" to see Susie play fiddle. They were introduced -- and the rest is history. A few weeks after meeting, the girls decided to hang out and go swimming at a friend's house. Coincidentally, Susie and Danelle both had their musical instruments in the back of their cars, and decided to ditch swimming and write a song instead. As they were working on the song, they were so blown away by their musical connection, natural harmonies, and immediate bond that they knew they were a duo from that day on.
Two years into The JaneDear Girls development, John Rich, one half of the multi-platinum and Grammy nominated duo, Big & Rich, discovered them at a local Muzik Mafia show. From that point on, with Rich's belief in their songs, tight harmonies, and ability to truly entertain audiences of all ages, they went out and pounded on the doors of Nashville's famous Music Row. In May of 2008, Scott Hendricks signed The JaneDear Girls to Warner Music Nashville; six months later, the girls inked a publishing deal with Troy Tomlinson at Sony ATV Tree; and most recently, The JaneDear Girls teamed up with Turner & Nichols Management, who represent one of country music's top awarded and selling groups, Rascal Flatts, for representation. Playing seven instruments between them, The JaneDear Girls prepare for their first single to be released in 2010. The connection between the girls when they perform cannot be created, and definitely has never been seen before. You do not want to miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to hear what is soon to be one of the preeminent duos of the 21st century.
