The DGT is the result of more than 20 years of collaboration between Paul Smith and David Grissom. The DGT is based on the McCarty Trem with special pickups, special wiring, a neck smaller than PRS’ wide-fat neck, bigger frets and heavy gauge strings that permit beautiful rhythm and solo tone.

Reviews

review thumbnail Guitar Player - February 2008 "Grissom is an incredibly tasteful player and a consummate professional. PRS (the company and the man) have embodied the highest standards and a commitment to excellence for years. Combine the two and this is exactly what you get—that and an Editors’ Pick Award." read the review

review thumbnail Vintage Guitar - March 2008 "The DGT’s hardware is superlative. The vibrato is incredibly stable and has a Jeff Beck-approved range, moved both up and down. The locking tuners work well (even if they don’t have to do much!). Once in place, even with a floating vibrato, string tension is remarkably constant. The brass barrels on the tuners, along with the nickel (instead of chrome) pickup covers give the guitar an "aged" vibe." read the review
