Friday Night Concert June 3rd

The public portion of Experience PRS 2016 kicks off with a Friday night evening concert with two Kentucky-born PRS artists. This not-to-be-missed concert event is not only a night of great music but a celebration for friends new and old to come together and have a rippin’ good time.

Boscoe France Band

Hailing from Western Kentucky, Boscoe France picked up his first guitar at the age of three and has been playing the blues ever since. Boscoe beat more than 4,000 players from all across the nation to win the 2012 Guitar Center Battle of the Blues competition, and was noted for his dexterity, creativity, and boundless collection of riffs and bends.

Bosco France

Black Stone Cherry

From the southern backwaters of Edmonton, Kentucky, Black Stone Cherry broke out big in 2008 and haven’t let up since. Blackstone Cherry is known as an authentic southern hard-rock band and has shared the stage with everyone from Bad Company and Halestorm.

Saturday Day Stages June 4th

New to Experience PRS 2016, PRS will have two day stages bringing top-tier performances to attendees all day long on Saturday, June 4th. More artists will be added to the line up as the event gets closer, but here is a first look at what is in store!

RDGLDGRN

RDGLDGRN (pronounced red gold green) have already distinguished themselves in the DC music scene. Their highly stylized sound (that Go Go drum beat- a distinct DC rhythm) takes hip-hop infused punk and indie rock to create something refreshingly unique, is getting attention from fans stretching far beyond the DC niche scene.

Comprised of three members who identify as Red, Gold, and Green, RDGLDGRN began making music in their basement studio, drawing from a vast and almost ironically diverse pool of influences like Chuck Brown, Vampire Weekend, Outkast, The Neptunes, and Bad Brains. What many might consider a wildly ambitious, even impossible task to pull off, RDGLDGRN managed to effortlessly combine genres of music to create something new, something all their own, and something that has the music industry buzzing with excitement.

RDGLDGRN

The Kelly Bell Band

Formed as a backing band for Bo-Diddley, The Kelly Bell Band is now in its twentieth year. The Baltimore, Maryland band has been voted Best Blues Band in the Mid Atlantic Region twelve years in a row. They bring a truly signature sound to the Blues by combining rock, funk, and dreadlocks with this most classic of music genres.

Hot Tub Limo

Hot Tub Limo got their start on Kent Island, Maryland and has become a staple in the local music scene. Their signature “rocked-up” versions of cover songs as well as their catalog of original music keep their fans happy, dancing, and drinking throughout the set. Hot Tub Limo is currently unsigned but hopes to sell out, go platinum, and tour the world.

Saturday Night Concert

The culmination of Experience PRS 2016 will, of course, be a concert on the Main Stage MC’d by Paul Reed Smith. Always a highlight of the event, PRS is pleased to host another great evening of music.

John Hiatt

For more than four decades, singer and songwriter John Hiatt has had his tunes covered by a vast amount of significant artists, including Bonnie Raitt, Rosanne Cash and B.B. King and Eric Clapton. Additionally, Hiatt has amassed a discography full of first-rate albums without ever really breaking through to a mass-market audience. Most recently, he released his 22nd studio album, “Terms of My Surrender.”

The Paul Reed Smith Band with Special Guests

With incredible guitar playing from the man himself, the Paul Reed Smith Band’s sound is self-described as Chesapeake Gumbo. Anchored by Gary and Greg Grainger in the rhythm section, Michael Ault and Bill Nelson on guitars, Mia Simone on vocals, and Paul on guitar, the Paul Reed Smith Band delivers funk infused rock that is full of heart, soul, and love. Come see Paul and the band do what they do best.

Living Colour

Formed by London-born guitarist Vernon Reid, Living Colour’s sound is a fusion of everything from heavy metal and punk to funk and jazz to hip hop and alternative rock. The bands experimental nature and mix of personal and political lyrics broadened the landscape of popular music and has made Living Colour one of the most influential rock bands of the last three decades.

Clinicians & Attending Artists

Additional artists attending the event include, David Grissom, Bernie Marsden, Emil Werstler, Simon McBride, and PRS product specialist Bryan Ewald.

More artists will be added to the line up as the event gets closer, so keep checking back to what additional talent is in store.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I bring my guitar?

A. Sorry, but NO.
Due to the parameters of this event and past security issues, we have decided that it is in everyone's best interest to leave your guitars at home where you know they will be safe. We realize many of you would like to have Paul Smith sign your guitars. We will have backplates available for sale onsite in our "West Street East" accessory store and, if time permits, Paul will be available to sign these instead. If you are interested in having your guitar serviced by our PTC staff, you will be able to place your "order" for PTC services. Unfortunately, there will be no PTC services performed during the event.

Q. Are cameras permitted at the event?

A. Yes. Cameras are welcome at all clinics, seminars, artist meet & greets and various other activities throughout the event. Post your pics and tag us! #expprs

Q. What if I need a hotel reservation or transportation?

Q. Will I be able to get autographs from PRS artists?

Q. Will I be able to get Paul Smith's autograph?

Q. Who is playing at the Concerts?
