For the past 29 years, thousands upon thousands of music fans have been flocking to Austin, TX for the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival. Local residents refer to the madness as “South By” and it absolutely takes over their city. Downtown roads are closed as people migrate around searching for their next favorite band. PRS Guitars has had a presence at the festival for a few years but most recently opened the Shred Shed - an isolation booth where musicians can jam out!

It’s a well known fact that if you subject your guitar to extreme temperatures/humidity in either direction, it’s dangerous. The SE A10E is the first all-mahogany guitar in the SE Angelus line up. It is offered in two colors, Tortoise Shell and Black. The all-mahogany body construction of this guitar provides a controlled attack and strong fundamental, delivering a warm, woody tone with a focused, punchy midrange. This strong midrange character allows the A10E to easily find a non-competing place in a mix, making it ideal for both the studio and the stage.

We had a great time joining the Warped Tour this year for one of their stops on the east coast!

As the official acoustic guitar of the Vans Warped Tour presented by Journeys, PRS Guitars would like to thank all our fans, the BandHappy folks, and our Warped tour artists, including the Full Sail University Acoustic Basement artists for backing our guitars and putting them through the paces on a nationwide tour. We had a blast and the turnout at our booth was fantastic! We had artist signings paired with the opportunity for fans to try out our SE Angelus acoustic guitars.

Check out the video below for a short recap of our time at Warped Tour. Rock on!

On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, Hard Rock officially celebrated the Grand Reopening of its newly renovated Baltimore location by partnering with Paul Reed Smith Guitars, a Maryland-based guitar manufacturer, to donate 16 new PRS SE Angelus acoustic guitars to Baltimore’s Frederick Douglass High School’s music department.  The donation, which was accepted by the school’s band director, honored PRS Guitars and Hard Rock Cafe’s long standing traditions ofsupporting local music.  “These guitars are truly a blessing, and I guarantee they will be well loved and well played” said Douglass Band Director, Reverend David Burton.

The Hard Rock Baltimore, located along Baltimore’s famous Inner Harbor, features the world’s largest PRS McCarty model guitar lit up atop the building’s facade.
