PRS Voice of America

About Voice of America

(VOA) is a U.S. government-funded international news source that serves as the United States federal government's official institution for non-military, external broadcasting. As the largest U.S. international broadcaster, VOA produces digital, TV, and radio content in over 45 languages which it distributes to affiliate stations around the globe.  In 2016, VOA broadcast an estimated 1,800 hours of radio and TV programming each week to approximately 236.6 million people worldwide!

VOA: "Sometimes, it just doesn’t pay to manufacture in the United States. Labor and land are expensive. It is why most consumer products sold here come from overseas. But a multinational electric guitar manufacturer still produces one-third of its instruments near where it started decades ago. Arash Arabasadi names that tune from Maryland."

I have a Gibson Les Paul, that I bought in 1991 love the Guitar, but when I bought a PRS 24 that cost a hell of a lot less, I couldn't believe the sound i get an the way it feels. Note I am not knocking Gibson because i have always thought highly of their guitars, but if I ever can afford the American made PRS, I will not with our a sought but one, as far as I am concerned PRS Guitars are the best!!!! I LOVE MINE.

I've been playing guitar for 40 years, I finally got around to buying a PRS . By far the best production electric guitar I've ever owned and played - craftsmanship and attention to detail second to none. Playability and tone that make me look forward to my daily writing session!! Thanks Paul and crew, job well done!!

Paul Reed Smith has a Genius mind and that combined with his 250 employees is why such meticulously made guitars are available to us guitarists/musicians. Paul cares for his employees so much that in the video above, he says that the best thing his company has done is give jobs and health insurance to 250 people. That just speaks volumes of him as a person. It means more to him to employ the people he does and offer them health insurance, than to make tons of money. I believe in good Karma and when you put people's needs before your own, and you care so much for your employees like Paul genuinely does, Karma puts it's hands in the mix, hence PRS, the most beautiful looking, lasting, sounding, and playing guitars one could ever want. Thank you Paul, and all of your employees, for 32 years of continuous innovations and perfection year after year, Luis Morales
