I had always heard PRS guitars were well built. I saw a grey SC250 hanging on the wall of a local pawn shop and wanted it, but the price was out of my reach. Luckily, my girlfriend stopped by to take a picture for me. When she found out the price she asked if they had any cheaper ones. The guy working there showed her a SE Bernie Marsden and she sent me the pic. I fell in love with it and bought it that day putting a hundred dollars down on it to hold it until I got there to pick it up a week later.
I had watched the tour videos from each of the shops at PRS and knew how much care goes into each of these guitars. I watched all of the reviews about the SE guitars and after taking my guitar out of the hard case it came, in I inspected it with a big smile on my face. There was not one ding on this guitar and after tuning and strumming it, it sounded fantastic. You can hear and feel the resonance throughout the guitar. Then plugging it in, I heard what I had been waiting to hear. I now had a very well made instrument in my hands. I felt bad for the previous owner because he or she had to part with it. Now it will be my turn to show this guitar the love it deserves. My favorite song is “Take care of you” by Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa. I have named my 2012 SE Bernie Marsden “Beth.” It’s the best money I have ever spent and I am sure she will last me a long time.
