Paul Reed Smith Band to Perform at the 26th Annual Bay Music Festival

Paul Reed Smith’s internationally touring band will perform from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the 4-H Park in Centreville, MD on Saturday, June 9th as part of the 26th Annual Bay Music Festival. All concert proceeds benefit Centreville Lion’s Club projects, with the primary beneficiary being the Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore. A PRS SE Soapbar II guitar signed by Paul will be raffled at the festival. Raffle tickets are $5 each, and all raffle ticket proceeds will benefit the named charities. Tickets can be purchased in the weeks leading up to the festival and at the festival.

The Paul Reed Smith Band performs for audiences all over the world and is currently completing a new CD project with an anticipated 2007 release date. The band’s multi-talented lineup includes Derek St. Holmes on lead vocals and guitar, Gary Grainger on bass, Michael Ault on guitar and vocals and Greg Grainger on drums. The Mary Ann Redmond Band, Tranzfusion, Bird Dog & The Road Kings and Lions of Bluegrass are also scheduled to perform at this year’s Bay Music Festival.

Derek St. Holmes, formerly Ted Nugent’s vocalist, is best known for songs “Hey Baby” and “Stranglehold.” Bassist Gary Grainger has performed with many well-known acts such as Rod Stewart, Nancy Wilson and John Scofield. Guitarist Michael Ault is best known for his bluesy work with The Mary Ann Redmond Band and regularly contributes to music scores for the Discovery Channel and National Geographic. Drummer Greg Grainger toured the world with Whitney Houston and is also currently touring with Acoustic Alchemy. Paul Smith has performed with renowned artists such as Vertical Horizon, Creed, Chuck Brown and Carlos Santana.

The Bay Music Festival kicks off at 4:00 p.m. and continues into the late evening, wrapping up by 11:00 p.m. Beer, Red Hot & Blue barbeque, pit beef, hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas and more will be on sale on site. Rain or shine, the show goes on, and children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets are $16 in advance and $20 at the gate. 4-H Park in Centerville, MD is located on Rt. 18.
