Carlos Santana Joining PRS for 2008 NAMM and Paul Smith Giving Hourly Booth Demonstrations
(STEVENSVILLE, MD) January 8, 2008 - Guitar Historian Tom Wheeler will be joined by Carlos Santana, Paul Reed Smith and many other gifted PRS artists for the unveiling of 12 new PRS models, including the newly named Santana MD model, on Friday, January 18 at 1:00 p.m. The exposé, scheduled in PRS Guitars' re-positioned Winter NAMM booth (#5320), will highlight PRS Guitars' distinctive and evolving models and present artists with the opportunity to speak to the press about their personal experiences with their favorite PRS instruments.
Hourly booth demonstrations from Paul Reed Smith are also scheduled to further convey PRS Guitars' latest industry contributions each day of the trade show starting at 11:00 a.m. Demonstrations will last approximately twenty minutes and will continue at the top of every hour. Guitarist Michael Ault and Bassist Gary Grainger of the PRS Band will accompany Paul during this comprehensive and consistent schedule of hourly demonstrations never before offered by PRS. "There are so many personalities in each of these new models that I wanted to share the intricacies with as many people as possible in a way I never have at a trade show," said Paul Smith.
This year's PRS Guitars signature artist roster for the Winter NAMM press conference brings together extraordinarily diverse and multi-talented musicians like the legendary Carlos Santana, Mike Mushok of Staind and David Grissom of the Dixie Chicks. Santana will introduce the very latest PRS signature model, the Santana MD, and its "multi-dimensional" Voice Control feature. The newest member of the PRS family, Mushok, will discuss his very first PRS signature model, the SE Baritone, and Grissom is going to address the industry in support of PRS and his new signature model, the DGT. Other PRS artists scheduled to attend include Lee Richards and Tony Rombola (of Another Animal and Godsmack), Rich Eckhardt (of Toby Keith), Howard Leese, Pat Travers, Mike Scott (of Justin Timberlake) and Johnny Hiland.
