The Private Stock Wood Vault is located in a room next to Paul’s office and contains our most exquisite woods - all designated for the Private Stock program.
The Vault contains a diverse selection of woods from every corner of the globe.
Inside the Vault, raw wood blanks are organized into sections including tops, backs, necks, fretboards, and headstock veneers.

Mahogany is a popular choice for guitar backs. Like all of our woods, mahogany is dried and left to acclimate in our climate-controlled factory for months before production. This ensures that the raw material will remain stable and resonant through its long life as a musical instrument.
After we receive the order for your Private Stock guitar, our engineers and builders use a combination of CNC machines and careful handcrafting to build your guitar to your exact specifications.
The skilled employees in the Private Stock wood shop can make matching backplates for your guitar from the original piece of back wood.

Private Stock employees sand the instruments with multiple passes of varying grits of sand paper. Careful attention is paid to retain the beauty of each instrument’s carve.
Before leaving the woodshop, every instrument is meticulously checked and made sure it is ready for the finish hall.
