"The S2 Singlecut is a beast. It looks and sounds like a monster on stage. I use in the studio because its tone is full and resonant. I can modify it to fit whatever the song calls for. I love this guitar." – Blake Allison
Devour the Day’s lead singer started his musical career at age ten with an old acoustic guitar and his older brothers mix tapes. Growing up in Memphis, Blake found himself constantly surrounded by music. Learning many different instruments he found his way on to the music scene as the drummer for the rock band Egypt Central. His desire to step out from behind the kit and front a band of his own came in early 2012 when Blake helped form Devour the Day. His songwriting and producing ability was able to shine and with the release of the single “Good Man”, Devour the Day achieved their biggest Billboard chart success to date with the song cracking the Top 10 on the Active Rock charts. With a great foundation now in place Blake and his bandmates are preparing to enter the studio later this year to begin work on their next full album release.
"Born and raised in Memphis, I found my calling in music 9 years ago from inspirations in my own backyard from artists on Beale street and Elvis Presley. I've been a big fan of PRS guitars for about 5 years now and I'll never look back!!! I'm humbled to be a part of the PRS team and support these amazing works of art!
I've been playing the PRS S2 Custom 24 for a while now and it's nothing less than perfect! It's definitely proven itself to take a beating night after night and still preform as solidly as the first. This guitar is capable of every tone you could ask for and more with the coil tap pickup as an awesome bonus. It packs a punch in playability and has that buttery smooth feel of PRS's top shelf guitars that everybody loves. I'm proud to say that the S2 is hands down my first choice when it comes to getting business done! Special thanks to Rich and everyone at PRS for your hard work and dedication! – David Hoffman
