Lark Guitars Hosts David Grissom and PRS Guitars

On Saturday, October 19th, Lark Guitars will be hosting a special PRS Clinic and PRS Event with Blues phenom, David Grissom.

There will be plenty of new Core, S2, and SE models including the David’s PRS DGT model, plus PRS amplifiers to see and play. PRS Brand representative, Jim Russell will be on hand to answer questions and chat about the craftsmanship and playability of PRS electrics, acoustics, basses and amplifiers. Of course, you will have the Lark Guitars team to help with any of your musical needs as well. It is going to be an awesome evening of guitars and good times.

ABOUT DAVID: He has toured and recorded with artists such as Buddy Guy, John Mellencamp, Joe Ely, Storyville, The Allman Brothers Band, The Dixie Chicks, Chris Isaak, Robben Ford, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Montgomery Gentry, Ringo Starr, and John Mayall, . His songs have been recorded by Trisha Yearwood, Lee Ann Womack, John Mayall, Shannon Curfman and Storyville among others.

David moved to Austin in 1983 and quickly became a stalwart on the vibrant local scene. He joined Texas legend Joe Ely’s band in 1985 and toured and recorded nonstop until 1991 when he joined John Mellencamp’s band. David made 3 records with John and toured extensively from 1991 through 1993. After, Mellencamp, David went back to Texas to form Storyville, the band that included the Double Trouble rhythm section and powerhouse vocalist Malford Milligan. Since 2000, David has divided his time between recording sessions, including the last three Buddy Guy records, and scores of Americana releases, along with touring with the Dixie Chicks from 2003-2007, and playing hundreds of live gigs and producing his four solo CD’s.

His first solo CD entitled “Loud Music” was released on the Wide Lode label in July 2007. His second Cd, “10,000 Feet” was released in March of 2009, and his third CD, “Way Down Deep” in 2011. David’s fourth CD, “How It Feels To Fly” was released in February 2014.
