In the 70's gas was .36 cents a gallon, the Beatles had just broken up, and a 19 year old Paul Reed Smith was preparing to build his first guitar. Our new YouTube series "From The Archives" explores the instruments, documents, and other goodies that are historically significant to our company.

Enjoyed the Archives. I wonder if these were the guitars Paul played at Charlies West Side in the late 70s.

Paul, his entire crew, and employees are in a league of their own. Hes just such a Genius, and that bleeds thru to each of his employees that build these amazing tools everyday. There is, and will always be, only 1 Paul and such an amazing supporting cast at PRS Guitars to bring the world such beloved guitars

Hi Paul, This is a fabulous new series. How amazing it must be to get your originals back and even more amazing that they sound incredible. Anyway, I’m a long time fan and player of your guitars and cant imagine using any other brand for my music!
