PRS Best Sellers of 2018

Now that the books are wrapped up, we thought it'd be fun to take a look back at 2018's best sellers. From SE, S2, Core, and more, here's a list of each line's best selling models and colors.

CORE

Custom 24 // Faded Whale Blue

The Custom 24 was the first instrument Paul built when launching our company in 1985. While the parts and electronics have been updated over the years, the foundational principles of the Custom 24 remain the same: a more versatile, more reliable tool for musicians to do their jobs. Also, the people have spoken, blue guitars must really sound better ; )

McCarty 594 // McCarty Sunburst

The McCarty 594 offers all the desirable features of a vintage guitar in a modern, functional way. You don't have to fight this guitar, just strap in and enjoy the ride. The classic McCarty Sunburst takes the cake for top color and it's easy to see why.

Bolt-On

Silver Sky // Tungsten

This instrument caused quite a stir following its March 2018 release, enough to break our website on launch day. The accolades speak for themselves, and with record first week sales, the Silver Sky took 1st place in our Bolt-On category. The Silver Sky is currently offered in 8 different colors, but Tungsten was John Mayer's personal choice for the stage.

CE 24 // Trampas Green

Snappy, responsive, and all-around just fun to play, the CE 24 was a popular player's choice for 2018. With the CE 24's maple neck and headstock, Trampas Green looks sharp.

S2

S2 Custom 24 // Whale Blue

The reputation and playability of Paul's original core Custom 24 design carries weight into our S2 category and makes this a top choice for musicians. If you're looking for a Custom 24 that has similar tone, feel, and features to our Core line but in a uniquely affordable package, look no further.

S2 Standard 24 Satin // Charcoal

All the thrills, fewer frills. Our Standard line instruments are made from all-mahogany bodies. They're lightweight which makes them a great choice for jumping around on stage, and they pack plenty of mid-range punch to help you cut through. The Charcoal Satin finish is sa-weet.

SE

SE Custom 24 // Trampas Green

As Paul Reed Smith likes to say, this guitar punches well out of its weight class. The tone, looks, and price make the SE Custom 24 a top choice and incredible value for players looking for their first, or last guitar.

SE Standard 24 // Translucent Blue

Inspired again by our flagship 24-fret models, the SE Standard 24 has an all-mahogany body for a subtely unique voice and look. For under a $500 price point, we couldn't be more proud of what this model offers for players.

SE ACOUSTIC

SE A50E & T50E

Our SE acoustic line came out with a bang in 2018 with the launch of 6-new models. Born for writing tunes, recording in the studio, or playing on stage, the new SE acoustics were researched and crafted to do it all. The cutaway Angelus shape of the A50E & full-body Tonare shape of the T50E were the top sellers, likely aided by their stunning maple back and sides. Pick one up and give it a strum!

AMPLIFIERS

MT 15

Mark Tremonti's signature MT 15 was a highly anticipated release. It's a diverse two-channel amp coming in at 15 watts, but if you stand too close to the cab it will blow your pant legs. The color changing LED's make it easy to see what channel you're on, and c'mon it's just cool. You've got to hear how it sounds.

Sonzera 20 Combo

The Sonzera 20 Combo is another versatile PRS two-channel amp, but voiced for players seeking a vintage sound and response. Plenty of crystal clean headroom for your pedals as well as a nice vintage grit on the gain channel. Great for small to medium-sized venues but sounds equally beautiful at low volumes mic'd up.

Strings & Guitar Care Kit

Over in our accessories store we have plenty of cool items to care for your PRS but our strings and guitar cleaning kit are the best sellers. Our string sets are the same sets used in the shop when setting up your PRS. The microfiber rags, fretboard conditioner, guitar cleaner, and guitar polish will have your PRS looking as shiny as the day it left our loving arms.
