On Friday, June 2, 2017 the Chesapeake Region Safety Council (CRSC) held its 94th Annual Meeting at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and awarded PRS Guitars the 2017 Platinum in the General Industry Award for Health and Safety.

Each year the CRSC accepts nominations from member organizations who have achieved exceptional levels of performance in Safety and Health. The competition requires companies to not only talk the talk about safety but to show results through supporting documentation. The 2017 Platinum in General Industry Award for PRS Guitars is in recognition of achieving the highest level of safety performance through safety activities to prevent accidental injury and death. The honor was accepted by Christina Woodard, SPHR, Director of Human Resources.

“PRS Guitars is committed to nurturing a culture of safety at our factory. Our employees are actively engaged in helping to create and implement safety programs that keep our manufacturing team safety conscious and knowledgeable,” said Ms. Woodard. “We take much pride in the production of guitars and accomplish that by first taking great care in the protection of our employees.”

Individuals and groups that would like to get a first-hand look at PRS Guitars’ production processes, instruments and amplifiers are welcome to sign-up to tour the factory. Located in Stevensville, MD, PRS guided factory tours are offered most Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am and 1pm EST. For additional information and to reserve a spot on an upcoming tour, click here.
